Founder and international sculptor Simon Gudgeon is delighted to exhibit Kathryn’s original paintings alongside other selected Gallery Artists including Jayne Tricker and Laura Rich.
Kathryn’s imagery is inspired by the horizon, light, night, and everything atmospheric in between. For DAW2021 you can see paintings from each of her collections ‘Daylight’, ‘Nightlight’, ‘Kaleidoscopic‘, ‘Contemplation‘, and the most recent ‘Wonderment‘. These stunning original paintings are created with handmade natural oil paint pigment on fine linen. In ITV’s Harbour Lives she is credited as having brought colour to Dorset.

Simon Gudgeon ‘Luna’ Fountain, on display in the Sculpture Courtyard at Sculpture by the Lakes.
Simon Gudgeon is one of Britain’s leading contemporary sculptors, the signature smooth-style concentrates spirit and nature. His minimalist, semi-abstract forms depict both movement and emotion of a moment captured with a visual harmony that is unmistakably his own.
In addition to the original artwork you will also have the opportunity to see the Wonderment Jewellery Collection, exclusive to Sculpture by the Lakes. A bespoke collection from the collaboration between Very Colourful Jewellery designer Miranda Peckitt who has taken inspiration from Kathryn’s original oil paintings, across all of her collections. This aligns perfectly with techniques Miranda uses on her anodised aluminium in the quest for her own beautiful wearable art.
