‘Perform’ was the first painting to sell from the 26 originals comprising the 2014 Kaleidoscopic Collection exhibition. The collector wanted to own what he considered to be the key piece, ones that show a change in idea or style. He was drawn to ‘Perform’ in particular by the unusual curved horizon/landscape. In fact this composition has drawn a number of similar comments all focusing on how much the shape reminds them of an ultrasound scan image.
