‘Luminescence’

“Luminescence is just a joyful sunburst of colour. It makes me think of the sun bursting through storm clouds and flooding the air with light. They (‘Intimate’ is hung on the same wall 3m away) are both happy paintings, though the mood is different in each and I feel how they contribute to the mood of the room. They use the same palette but with quite different emphasis, resulting in the sitting area is calm and relaxing thanks to ‘Intimate’, while ‘Luminescence’ makes the dining area energetic and vibrant.  Both moods are what we want, so we have a lovely harmony of colours through the art in the whole room, yet different ambience in the two areas.”
