“I first met Kathryn at the 2007 Art for Life Cancer Research Charity Raffle and Auction at Christie’s in London which I attended with an old friend.  We were watching the auction and stood next to us were two charming ladies, one of whom we soon discovered was Kathryn. A lot had just sold for £4000 and Kathryn said “well if that is worth £4000 my painting better go for at least that”. Lot 019, ‘Velvet’ by Kathryn Thomas, duly sold for over £4000. At that point I decided that one day I would own one of Kathryn’s paintings.”

Eight years later I travelled down to Poole with my daughter to view one particular painting. But instead my daughter and I both fell in love with ‘Breathless’ and it now has pride of place in our home. My very first Kathryn Thomas Original.
