‘Barely enough sky to hold it’

In ‘Barely enough sky to hold it’ I am offering an ecliptical experience of the ‘quietitude’ and ‘other worldliness’ underlying this precious occurrence.

My overwhelming memory of the solar eclipse on 11 August 1999 is of the birds becoming silent before ‘wakening’ as the shadow passed and light levels returned to normal.

Having founded my career on colour, I surprise myself at how frequently I am drawn to black and white.
Monochromatic messages of light or movement must carry greater power to compensate for the absence of the element of colour.
